Week 28 Wrap Up

Last week was a busy one with the field trip, Oklahoma history crafts, bingo and parade. Thank you very much parents for coming out to help with all of it. With everyone's help all the activities were successful and a lot of fun. If you have not seen the pictures on Instagram and Facebook please check them out and "like" them.
Summer Camps & Tutoring
There are no events for the next couple of weeks, but the end of the school year is approaching quickly, so we are discussing plans for summer events. In addition to a couple of fun family events one of the ideas we are thinking about are fun days for STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) activities. Mrs. Marschall and myself would run them and there would be fee. The proceeds would pay for supplies and add to our growing tuition assistance fund.
We are also considering providing an opportunity for tutoring in math and reading.
If you are interested in either of these programs please let me know. The interest level will help us make our decision on whether or not to move forward with plans.
Enrollment for 21-22 We are still taking enrollment for next year. Currently we are at 20 students. The cut off is 35. We expect these spots to fill before the end of the summer, so please don't wait to re enroll.
Collaboration This week we begin our third week of the study of Oklahoma history. The students will use the skills of research, observation and discussion to better understand some of the most critical events and interesting people from Oklahoma's diverse history. 3rd-Middle school WE WILL BEGIN READING THE NEXT NOVELS THIS WEEK. PLEASE SEND THE BOOKS TO SCHOOL ON MONDAY. Discovery Kids We recently subscribed to a new website called Discovery Kids and the students are loving it. The articles are on their reading level and cover a huge range o topics. Currently we are focusing on the systems of the human body. The students are reading and presenting information about the topics they have chosen to read about. This way we are covering twice as much material. Last week the students also made models of the corresponding body system and presented it with their article. Have a great rest of the weekend!
